Many holes feature downhill approaches and raised greens, so club up on long downhill shots and trust the roll when landing on bentgrass surfaces.

Bentgrass greens are kept smooth— they can run quicker in cooler, dry months and slow after rain, so pay attention to grain and pace accordingly.

The course sits on a hill and can be exposed to wind, especially in spring and autumn, so factor crosswinds into club selection and aim.
