Hirakawa Country Club is a challenging 18-hole forest course located in Chiba. Known for hosting the 1992 Japan Women’s Professional Golf Championship, the course features a very flat layout with only a 5-meter elevation difference throughout. The course is long and rewards distance, but prioritize controlled tee shots to keep the ball in the fairway rather than trying to overpower every hole.

Tree-lined fairways and narrow landing zones make accuracy off the tee essential, so consider 3-wood or long irons when driver risks bring you into trouble.

Well-maintained bentgrass greens are receptive and reward precise approaches, so aim to leave approach shots below the hole for safer two-putts.

Although the layout is very flat and often sheltered by trees, watch for wind funnels on more open holes where gusts can affect ball flight.

Use the extensive approach practice area to work on bunker play and shots from up to 50 yards, as scrambling from around the greens is often required.
