Hanno Kusunoki Country Club is a hilly 18-hole golf course located in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture. Managed by PGM, it offers easy access from central Tokyo and is part of a prestigious golf area. The front nine features mostly flat and open fairways with a couple of challenging holes near water hazards. In contrast, the back nine is surrounded by trees and natural terrain, requiring precise shots and strategy. This variation tests players’ skills, especially on the final three holes with elevation changes and doglegs. The course uses bentgrass greens and soft spikes are required.

The front nine is mostly flat and open so you can be more aggressive off the tee, but be careful of the holes with water hazards when trying to chase distance.

The back nine is tree-lined and follows natural terrain, so favor accuracy and consider laying up on tighter holes to avoid trouble.

The final few holes feature elevation changes and doglegs that make club selection and shot positioning especially important down the stretch.

Bentgrass greens tend to roll smoothly—take time to read subtle breaks and factor in green firmness after rain, and remember soft spikes are required.
