Hanayoshino Country Club is a scenic 18-hole golf course located in Nara Prefecture. This hilly course offers a smooth and relaxing layout, with the front nine featuring beautifully planted flowers and longer holes to enjoy. The back nine provides stunning views of the majestic Kongo, Katsuragi, and Yoshino mountains, offering a memorable and varied golfing experience. As Japan’s first course to equip all carts with seat heaters, players can stay comfortable even during cold winter rounds. Designed by Yasushi Kaizu with supervision from pro Ayako Okamoto, the course features bentgrass greens and welcomes golfers looking for both challenge and natural beauty.

Adjust club selection for elevation—take one less club for downhill shots and one more for uphill approaches.

The front nine has longer holes framed by planted flowers, so prioritize accurate tee shots to leave manageable approach distances.

The back nine features more elevation changes and mountain views, so play conservatively on blind or sloped approaches and aim for the center of the green.

Bentgrass greens tend to be smooth and can run quick when firm, so spend time reading subtle breaks and focus on distance control on longer putts.

Wind on the hills can be shifty—check gusts on exposed tees and consider changing club selection against the wind.
