Many holes are tightly lined with red pines so prioritize accuracy and course management off the tee rather than pure distance.

Valley-crossing holes have significant elevation changes—adjust club selection for uphill and downhill approaches and aim for the safe side of greens when visibility is limited.

A handful of longer holes exceed 200 yards where a well-struck driver pays off, but long tee shots can be heavily penalized by trees and slopes so choose when to be aggressive.

Well-maintained Zoysia greens tend to be firmer and a bit slower than bentgrass, so leave approach shots below the hole and take care with putt pace.

The forest shelters many fairways from wind, but exposed ridge or high-elevation tees can be breezy so check flags and add club on exposed shots.
