The front nine is characterized by dramatic elevation changes and wooded surroundings, providing stunning views of Lake Ashi and the surrounding highlands from the highest tee on hole 5. The back nine is relatively flatter but demands precision due to subtle undulations and narrow fairways lined by trees. Both caddie and self-play options are available with cart usage. Due to several blind holes, beginners are recommended to play with a caddie for a better experience.

Fairways are relatively narrow and lined with trees, so prioritize accuracy off the tee rather than purely chasing distance.

Bentgrass greens are generally true but have subtle undulations, so spend time reading the grain and be precise with pace on longer putts.

Holes exposed to Lake Ashi can be breezy, so always factor wind direction and gusts into club and shot selection.
