Wide fairways invite aggressive driving but position your tee shots to avoid the many ponds that come into play on several holes.

Greens are bentgrass with strong undulation and multiple tiers, so read the breaks carefully and favour conservative approaches to avoid long, tricky putts.

The course features generally gentle elevation changes, so pay attention to subtle uphill and downhill yardages rather than assuming flat distances.

Palm trees and resort landscaping frame many holes and can block or complicate recovery shots, so accuracy from the tee and fairway is rewarded.

Wind can pick up on exposed holes—on breezy days keep the ball lower and plan for crosswinds when attacking pins.
