Although the layout is relaxed with generous fairways, the course's 6801-yard length and hilly terrain make smart club selection essential on longer holes.

Expect noticeable elevation changes and take one club more for uphill approaches and one club less for downhill shots to avoid coming up short or overshooting the greens.

Bentgrass greens are well maintained and can be relatively fast with subtle breaks, so read the slopes carefully and prioritize lag putts to avoid three-putts.

Wind can be moderate on exposed ridges despite the inland location, so check the flag and adjust your trajectory and club choice accordingly.

Soft spikes are required and the quiet, scenic setting rewards steady, conservative play over aggressive risk-taking.
