The East Course is long and demands distance, so prioritize finding the fairway off the tee rather than always trying to overpower, to avoid long, difficult approaches.

On the West Course, use placement more than distance because the beautiful undulations and shaping reward tee shots that leave uphill or sidehill approach angles.

Bentgrass greens constructed with river sand drain well and hold up in wet or hot weather, so expect consistent roll and take time to read subtle breaks and tiers.

Because the layout is hilly and some holes are exposed, pay close attention to wind direction and adjust club selection for crosswinds and downhill/uphill shots.
