Kuma Country Club is an 18-hole golf course nestled at 700 meters above sea level in the scenic mountains of Ehime Prefecture. Surrounded by the beautiful Shikoku Mountain Range, the course offers golfers a chance to enjoy the changing seasons and stunning natural views while playing. Designed by Hachijuhachi Fukui, this mountain-style course features well-maintained bentgrass greens and a par-72 layout stretching just over 6,100 yards. The mountain routing produces frequent elevation changes so club up for uphill approaches and club down on long downhill holes.

Bentgrass greens tend to be true and can play firm and fast, so aim to leave your approach shots below the hole and focus on speed control on putts.

Wind conditions can be variable and gusty on exposed ridges, so check flags at the tee and lower trajectory when gusts are strong.

Despite the relatively short yardage, accuracy off the tee is crucial on tighter mountain fairways so favor controlled shots over maximum distance.

Soft-spike footwear is required and temperatures can be cool, so bring layered clothing and be prepared for morning fog or chill.

At about 700 meters elevation the course is typically cooler than coastal areas with cool mornings and possible fog, a rainy season in early summer, occasional snow or frost in winter, and sporadic strong winds or heavy rain during typhoon season.

Late spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) offer the most pleasant temperatures and the clearest mountain views, while the June rainy season and peak typhoon months are best avoided.
