The front nine has many doglegs, so choose tee shots that leave an angle to the green rather than always trying to hit driver.

Wide fairways and gentle undulations reward conservative strategy, but at 7,072 yards the course still challenges players with long approach shots.

Large bentgrass greens are receptive but can be subtly fast and sloped, so prioritize accurate approach shots and careful reads on putts.

The back nine features several water hazards and more exposed holes, so pay attention to wind and avoid short-sided approaches near water.

Check wind direction frequently—lake-driven breezes can change distance perception and often require adjusting club selection by one or two clubs.

The nearby Lake Kasumigaura brings breezy conditions—summers are hot and humid with frequent afternoon storms, spring and autumn are generally mild and windy at times, and winters are cool and relatively dry but can be blustery.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best times to play for mild temperatures, stable conditions, and clear views of Mt. Tsukuba, while summer brings heat and the risk of thunderstorms and typhoons.
