Several holes feature doglegs and narrow landing areas guarded by bunkers, so prioritize accuracy from the tee over sheer distance.

Bentgrass greens are generally true and can be quick, so spend extra time reading subtle breaks and beware of downhill putts.

Wind can be variable on exposed ridges and elevated tees—check conditions before every hole and adjust aim and club accordingly.

Soft spikes are recommended and uneven lies on slopes are common, so practice recovery shots from sidehill and downhill stances.
