Daisetsuzan Country Club is a scenic 36-hole golf course located near Asahikawa Airport in Higashikagura, Hokkaido. Positioned at the highest point of the course, the clubhouse offers stunning views of the Daisetsuzan mountain range, especially from the second-floor restaurant. Golfers can enjoy panoramic sights of snow-capped peaks in spring and early summer, as well as the first snows in early autumn. Both the East and West courses start by facing the majestic mountains, with the West course also providing views of the Tokachi range and Asahikawa city. Play conservatively off the tee and favor the center of the fairway because blind or elevated greens and landing areas can severely penalize wayward drives.

Mountain and valley breezes frequently affect play so check wind direction from higher ground before choosing clubs and account for crosswinds on exposed holes.

Bentgrass greens are typically smooth and can be firmer and faster in summer, so be precise with pace on your putts and try to leave approach shots below the hole.
