The 36-hole mountain layouts feature noticeable elevation changes, so plan club selection carefully—take an extra club for uphill approaches and one less for downhill shots.

Some landing areas can be tight on a mountainous course, so prioritize accuracy off the tee rather than pure distance to avoid difficult recoveries.

Bentgrass greens are kept in good condition and can run quick with subtle breaks, so spend extra time reading putts and favor conservative approaches that leave uphill birdie opportunities.

Use the GPS-equipped remote carts to get reliable yardages for blind or downhill/uphill shots and to better manage club choice on holes with tricky elevation.

The Kansai area brings a humid summer with a rainy season in June and the possibility of typhoons in late summer/early autumn, hot and humid summers, mild winters with occasional cold snaps, and generally calm, pleasant conditions in spring and autumn; mountain holes can be sheltered but exposed ridges may experience gusty winds.
