At over 1,300 meters the ball flies farther than at sea level, so reduce club selection compared with typical yardage.

The course is hilly with noticeable elevation changes, so adjust club choice for uphill and downhill shots and be mindful of uneven stances.

Fairways are generally generous but the strategic layout rewards accurate tee shots to leave favorable approach angles rather than just distance.

Bentgrass greens at altitude can play firm and quick when dry, so focus on landing areas and taking careful reads on breaks.

Highland winds can be changeable—check prevailing conditions on the tee and lower your trajectory when wind is strong or swirling.

Being at about 1,300 m the course has a highland climate with cool temperatures year-round, marked day–night temperature swings, frequent morning mists, variable afternoon winds, a rainy season in early summer and snow in winter.
