Accuracy off the tee is rewarded because many holes are tree-lined and tighter than their yardage suggests, so favor controlled drives over sheer distance.

Several holes incorporate ponds and water hazards around landing areas and greens, so conservative club selection and avoiding risky carries will save strokes.

Greens are a mix of Bermudagrass and Bentgrass, meaning surfaces can play softer and patchier early/late season on Bermuda and crisper on Bent in cool months, so expect variable speeds.

The forested routing shelters many holes from wind, but gusts can funnel through clearings and exposed tees — check direction and strength on each hole.

Aim to leave approach shots below the hole where possible to make putting easier, and wear soft spikes for traction on sloped lies and damp conditions.
