At over 7,000 yards the course plays long so prioritize distance off the tee but balance it with accuracy because fairways are relatively narrow.

Hilly routing means club selection must account for elevation changes—take one more or one less club than usual on uphill or downhill shots.

Bentgrass greens are generally receptive but can be faster than they look, so check pin placement and be conservative with long putts.

There are few wide bailout areas, so favor controlled tee shots and consider laying up on longer par-4s and par-5s to avoid trouble.

Soft spikes only—dress and shoe choices matter for traction on sloped or damp lies during morning dew or after rain.
