The course is hilly so pay close attention to elevation changes and consider club-up or club-down on uphill and downhill shots.

Ponds and creeks are strategically placed—favor position off the tee to give yourself the best angle into greens rather than always trying to hit driver.

With Bentgrass greens that are generally receptive, focus on hitting the correct speed and line because subtle breaks can bite you on approach putts.

Because the layout is not excessively long, accuracy and course management typically reward more than pure distance off the tee.

Wind can be changeable on exposed ridges, so check wind direction before long shots and adjust club selection accordingly.
