The hilly layout and frequent elevation changes make accurate club selection essential, so adjust a club up for uphill shots and down for downhill approaches.

Prioritize tee-shot placement over distance because many holes reward hitting the correct side of the fairway to open easier approach lines.

Expect crosswinds and sea breezes at times—check wind direction before each hole and aim and club accordingly.

Bentgrass greens are generally smooth but have subtle undulations, so take time to read the breaks and focus on controlling putting speed.

Practice chips and pitches from uneven, sloped lies because many approaches play from sidehill or downhill positions around the greens.

The course sits in a maritime Kanto climate with warm, humid summers and mild winters, frequent afternoon sea breezes and occasional strong winds or heavy rain during the typhoon season in late summer.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most pleasant temperatures and stable conditions, while summer can be hot and humid with typhoon risk and winter is cool but playable.
