Brick & Wood Club is a challenging and strategically designed 18-hole course located in Ichihara, Chiba. Created by renowned designer Desmond Muirhead, this private club operates on a self-service basis, encouraging players to help with cart and bag handling as well as course maintenance. The course offers five different tee options to suit all skill levels, from beginners to athletes. Weekday play is limited to 30 groups for a relaxed yet efficient pace, featuring no lunch breaks with quick snacks provided. After your round, enjoy the club’s lounge dining and affordable breakfast options in the restaurant. Soft spikes are required.

Five tee options let you tailor length to ability, but the full 7,016 yards from the back tees demands accurate long-iron and fairway-wood play into greens.

Elevated tees and greens make wind a frequent factor—account for sea breezes and crosswinds on exposed holes when choosing clubs.

Bentgrass greens tend to show subtle undulations, so commit to your line and read breaks carefully to minimize three-putts.

The club operates largely on a self-play basis with brisk weekday pacing and limited lunch breaks, so be prepared to help with carts/bags and keep a steady tempo.

Chiba on the Kanto coast has hot, humid summers with frequent sea breezes, mild and often clear winters, and a typhoon risk in late summer; exposed holes can be affected by breezes from Tokyo Bay.

Late spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable conditions with pleasant temperatures and good course conditions, while midsummer brings heat and possible typhoon impacts.
