The course is wide and straightforward so club selection from the forward tees makes it friendly for higher handicaps while the back tees exceed 7,000 yards for longer hitters.

Although generally flat and open, the layout has gentle undulations and well-placed bunkers, so aim for the wider landing areas rather than always trying to carry hazards.

On long par-4s and par-5s play conservatively with fairway woods or hybrids to avoid trouble and set up comfortable approach shots.

Bentgrass greens are receptive but can play firm and quick at times, so focus on controlling trajectory and landing short of the hole to hold the putting surface.

Wind is usually light to moderate inland but can pick up on exposed holes, so check the flags and adjust club selection when gusts occur.
