Although the fairways are relatively wide, several holes incorporate ponds (notably 1, 5, 8, 17 and 18) so accuracy off the tee and on approaches is essential.

The large single bentgrass greens reward precise approaches but often leave long, tricky putts, so aim to leave your approach shots below the hole.

Because the routing is hilly, adjust club selection for elevation changes—take an extra club for uphill shots and consider one less for downhill shots.

Holes 9 and 15 provide opportunities for powerful drives and scoring, but confirm landing hazards before being aggressive.

Wind can be variable across the hills, so check conditions frequently and favor conservative club selection when the wind is uncertain.

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) are the best times to play for mild temperatures, good course conditions and stable weather; avoid the peak of summer due to heat and typhoon risk.
