Account for noticeable elevation changes across the highland layout and be conservative with club selection to avoid coming up short on uphill approaches.

Prepare for variable winds on the plateau—crosswinds and gusts in the afternoon can significantly affect tee shots and long irons.

Be aware that the course uses both Zoysia and Bentgrass greens, so green speeds vary; test putts early and expect Bentgrass to roll faster and truer than Zoysia.

Favor accuracy from the tees and on approaches because the well-maintained fairways and greens reward position play more than sheer distance.

The Asagiri Plateau often has morning fog and generally cooler highland temperatures, with clearer skies and stronger, more variable winds in the afternoons; summers are mild and winters can bring frost or occasional snow.

Late spring (May–June) and autumn (September–November) offer the most stable weather and the clearest views of Mt. Fuji, while summers are generally pleasant and winters can be cold with occasional frost or snow.

T-shirts, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, jeans, and shorts are strictly prohibited. Basically, both men and women are required to wear clothing with collars.
