Account for elevation on most shots—uphill holes play longer and downhill holes play shorter, so adjust club selection accordingly.

Accuracy off the tee is rewarded because many holes are framed by native forest and require positioning rather than raw distance.

Bentgrass greens at altitude tend to be firmer and faster, so focus on hitting approaches below the hole and be precise with putting speed.

Highland breezes can be steady or gusty; check wind direction from the tee and on elevated greens and adjust aim and club choice.
